How does Bio Clip measure Bio-vascular Age?
Using the results, and in particular those relating to arterial stiffness, the Bio Clip system is able to calculate a bio-vascular age. Bio-vascular age is the term given to describe the comparative age of a person’s arteries - in other words are your arteries older or younger than your actual age?
Over 2000 patients between the ages of 18 and 75 were tested at St. Thomas’ hospital in London. Those results are encoded onto the BioClip software, this means that your stiffness index (SI) result is compared to that database. The results not only output your comparative vascular/ biological age, but they also show between which age groups those results would be expected; for example; 64 (58-70) It is through this method that it is easy to track your results and what changes mean to the average in the population. After all, you may not remember your stiffness index reading in metres per second, but you will remember your biological age!
The good news is that results can always be improved through lifestyle, diet, exercise and supplements. BioClip gives you the incentive to make those changes, stick to your health program and ensure that what you are doing is not a waste of time and money, but in fact is making benefits for your health and fitness.
